About the artist
Charise Knutson has been working with metal for over 13 years. She has successfully created a style that brings a feminine perspective to a largely male dominated medium. Her goal as an artist is simply to continue to become.

Much of Knutson’s work is commissioned. Architectural structures must be designed to fit, according to detailed specifications. It is difficult to resell a commissioned structure if the client rejects the work. Knowing that, Knutson focuses on communication with the client when the order is placed and as designs are developed. She provides a detailed written agreement in advance of purchasing materials and commencing work, which she developed with legal advice from Jaeger. Completing a written agreement before starting allows her to develop a strong relationship with her client that serves everyone during the creation, installation, and payment phases. It extends into the enjoyment phase, and results in referrals and additional commissions.
